Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Possibly Leaked

One of the most anticipated games is, of course, Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption took the world by storm when it came out, making its sequel the most coveted game in 2017. Except, the game didn’t come out in 2017, but Rockstar pushed the game’s release date for 2018, without disclosing when exactly will the title be released.
With this, the fans were somewhat grieved, but Rockstar has a very firm and respectable “it’ll be done when it’s done” attitude, so there’s no fighting them when it comes to the game’s release. Rockstar likes to ship their games in a complete state and with as few bugs possible, so if they didn’t think the game was done, they’re going to move it. In fact, prior to the 2017 date, the game was supposed to be out as early as October 2016, but the date pushed again and again, as were the gamers’ buttons.
However, a total upset came from a Danish retailer called Coolshop, which might have leaked the game’s release date. On their page it stated that the game should be on sale on June 8th, 2018. However, it seems that Rockstar was informed of the leak, and the page was reworked to show only basic information concerning the game. The supposed release date was cut, so we’re once again in the dark about the game’s release.
While we’re talking about the topic, the here’s another interesting thing about the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 is not actually a sequel, but a prequel of the 2010 title. The map of the game will be even bigger than the last title, and it’s supposed contain New Bordeaux, the setting for the Mafia 3 game.
The protagonist of the new game isn’t John Marston, but one Arthur Morganou. The game will follow him and the Van der Linde gang (aka Dutch’s gang) as they trek across America’s Midwest and fight for survival. As per Rockstart’s MO, the game’s story trailer came second, with the first trailer setting the tone of the game.
Like the last game, RDR2 will be published on Xbox and PS. However, petitions have been enacted to bring the game to PC. Whether the game will be made for PC too is unknown, but, what it certain is that, per agreement, some of the game’s content is exclusive to PS.
All in all, the leak might have been just a tease, but hope remains that it’s the real deal. As we said, Rockstar has a very firm attitude when it comes to publishing their games, so the game will be published when it will have been published. All remains for us is to wait.
