Spoiler Alert! – Casualties of the Infinity War

Although we’ve already stated this in the title, please refrain from reading this article if you haven’t watched Infinity War yet! We’ll be taking a look at the resulting developments of the latest Avengers’ movie and what it means for the future of the franchise.

To start things off, it’s safe to say that the ending of the film has one of the most breathtaking scenes in Marvel’s movie history. Having some of the main heroes dissolve in front of the eyes of millions has such an impact in the audience that those who emit any sort of noise do so as a consequence of either sobbing or gasping.

This is especially true for Black Panther and Spider-Man’s deaths. Having two fan favorites simply disappear is certainly an unexpected development on its own, but taking away two characters that not too long ago were making their debuts in the Marvel universe takes the whole scene one step further.

With that said, it’s pretty safe to say these characters will be returning sooner rather than later. Thanos will be made to pay for his Genghis Khan-esque ideology, and order should be restored to our heroes’ universe, albeit other casualties may arise.

It’s also important to note how the movie has a bit of everything for everyone in the audience. Star Lord’s undying love for Gamora; Spider-Man’s casual humor and Dr. Strange’s crude honesty worked very well together. Marvel certainly did a great job combining every movie character together in order to create one of the best superhero movies in history.
Who will die in the second part of the movie, though? And what role will Captain Marvel play? It’s highly likely that one or two major characters will disappear for good. Could it be Iron Man, or maybe The Cap?
One thing’s for sure, though… The heroes might’ve lost the battle, but the war is far from over. There’s still way more to come from the Thanos conflict, and it’s safe to suspect that Thor will play a major part in the next film.
In the meantime, we’ll just have to settle with Captain Marvel’s origin and Ant-Man’s second film until the much anticipated second take of Infinity War hits the big screens!
